Armands Skudra:
Armands Skudra is a partner with extensive practical experience in handling sophisticated and responsible assignments, concentrating in the field of corporate law, M&A, banking, public procurement, competition law and aviation law. Mr. Skudra has advised large international banking institutions such as The Bank of New York Mellon, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, MasterCard International, General Electric Capital, PK Air Finance, Nordea, multinational corporations such as Accenture, PKN Orlen, Telenor, McCain Foods, Stockmann, British Telecom, Philips, Dredging International N.V. and some of the largest Latvian companies such as Latvian Shipping Company, Riga Commercial Port Ltd.
Mr. Skudra was involved in complex merger and acquisition transactions in such sectors as port infrastructure, telecommunications, media and real estate development. Mr. Skudra has dealt extensively with acquisition financing, derivatives and syndicated lending transactions, Mr. Skudra has consulted on major procurement projects related to public transportation, construction and public utilities. Mr. Skudra has provided legal guidance to substantial direct foreign investment and joint venture projects in Latvia. As an outside expert Mr. Skudra has counseled the Bank of Latvia on developing legal framework for inter-bank settlements and the Securities Market Commission on regulation mechanism for mortgage notes. Armands Skudra is also lecturing on subjects of business law and is the author of several publications in the field of corporate and banking law. Mr. Skudra is Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Law Fellow.
